Today, on October 14, Watchpost is set to launch on WearOS, transforming the smartwatch into a pirate captain's spyglass. The game, designed for kids and families, introduces a new way of playing where players use their entire body to navigate the game world.
Watchpost takes full advantage of the WearOS platform, turning the smartwatch into an interactive tool. Players can tilt their wrist to look at the water or sky, turn their body to sweep the horizon, and point their arm to aim. Each mission introduces these physical controls step by step, making the watch itself an integral part of the adventure. The journey begins with a lost map, scattered across the sea by a storm. Players must recover the map pieces by completing three types of missions: Battle, Rescue, and Fishing.
In the Battle missions, players find and sink enemy ships by tapping to splash. The game’s visual atmosphere changes with each activity: battles take place in fog, rescues in daylight, and fishing at night. For younger players, the combat experience uses water rather than cannon fire, keeping the action playful and age-appropriate.
The game also supports Bluetooth multiplayer between two watches. One player taps Host while the other taps Join, connecting two watches for head-to-head play across three arenas: Battle, Fishing, and Rescue. Multiplayer is locked by default and sits behind a parental gate, which can be unlocked from Settings after entering a birth year.
Watchpost is designed without accounts, behavioral advertising, chat, or collection of personal data. It is available in six languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Polish, and French. The game makes use of WearOS features beyond the game itself, including a custom watch face with complications, background step-progress notifications, and a leaderboard using player initials. With its combination of motion controls, haptics, voice guidance, campaign progression, customization, activity rewards, and watch-to-watch multiplayer, Watchpost is designed to make the smartwatch itself the center of the adventure.
Watchpost is a kid-friendly pirate adventure for WearOS where players command their ship using their whole body. Tilt, turn, point, aim, battle, rescue, fish, customize your ship, and recover the pieces of a lost map as you sail across the sea. The game’s launch on October 14 marks a new era in interactive gaming, blending physical movement with digital adventure.
