WALT Labs Launches Cloud Companion on Google Cloud Marketplace

Key features of Cloud Companion include: - Unified spend analytics across billing accounts, projects, and services, with a projected month-end total based on current run rate. - BigQuery cost analysis by project, user, label, and individual query, refreshed hourly, with optimization recommendations from Google Cloud Recommender. - Budget alerts on billing accounts, projects, and SKUs, and hourly alerts on BigQuery, Vertex AI, and Gemini spend. - AI spend controls, including statistical spike detection on AI spend and a spend cap that switches off Vertex AI and Gemini APIs in chosen projects when spend reaches a customer-defined limit. - Automated security scanning of Google Cloud configuration, with more than 120 checks, 75 of them mapped to the CIS Google Cloud Platform Foundations Benchmark, each finding carrying a severity level and the resources it affects. - Security Center, included with the Advanced plan, adding threat detection across Google Cloud audit logs and severity-ranked security alerts by email, Slack, or webhook. - Walter, an AI assistant that answers plain-English questions about spend, savings recommendations, BigQuery and AI costs, budgets, and security alerts, with Model Context Protocol support. - AWS spend alongside Google Cloud in one unified view.

Pricing for Cloud Companion is structured as a flat monthly fee per account, with the Pro plan priced at $750 per month and the Advanced plan at $1,500 per month, both on a month-to-month basis with 30 days' notice to cancel.
