Wagner Equipment Co. has introduced an enhanced Customer Value Agreement (CVA) to help Colorado contractors manage the risk of owning Cat® Compact equipment, particularly track loaders. This initiative aims to provide a more flexible and cost-effective solution for contractors weighing the decision between renting and buying.
The enhanced CVA addresses a critical concern for equipment owners: unplanned downtime. According to Shane Jones, a spokesperson for Wagner Equipment Co., "Every day off the job costs money. Our CVAs are proactive, customizable protection plans that support your operations when you need them most."
The new agreement offers several benefits for eligible equipment owners. For new and renewed CVAs purchased with new equipment at a Cat Compact location, Wagner provides same-day parts for maintenance and repair. If parts are unavailable, customers can receive up to $1,000 in Cat Credits. Additionally, CVAs that include dealer labor come with a next-day return-to-work commitment, ensuring that a loaner machine is available if the equipment needs more time in the shop.
Wagner's nightly parts-shuttle network ensures that common parts are quickly delivered to the nearest branch, minimizing downtime. VisionLink® telematics, a monitoring system, helps fleet managers track machine hours, idle time, and upcoming service intervals, allowing them to optimize their operations.
The total cost of ownership for a track loader depends on various factors, including downtime, maintenance, and rental rates over time. Contractors who need a track loader only occasionally often save money by renting, as flexible rental rates avoid tying up capital in idle equipment. However, those running a track loader on most jobsites find that ownership pays for itself once utilization frequency reaches a certain point.
Wagner Equipment Co. serves contractors across Colorado, New Mexico, and far west Texas. As a total solutions provider, Wagner offers a comprehensive approach to managing equipment ownership risks. The company's goal is to give contractors the flexibility to rent or purchase machines without absorbing downtime as a hidden cost.
The enhanced CVA reflects Wagner's commitment to providing a total solutions approach. By addressing the risk of unplanned downtime, Wagner helps contractors make more informed decisions about whether to rent or buy their equipment. This proactive stance is designed to support contractors in their operations, ensuring they can focus on their core business without the worry of unexpected equipment issues.
