ANN ARBOR, Mich., Oct. 1, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- WACKER, a global specialty chemical company, is set to showcase its advanced silicone technologies at The Battery Show 2026, taking place from October 12-15 at Huntington Place in Detroit. The event will see WACKER exhibit at Booth 4422, where the company will highlight its innovative materials for thermal management and battery safety.

At the show, WACKER will feature ELASTOSIL® RT 7650 TC VS A/B, a low-viscosity, self-leveling silicone potting compound designed for battery pack, power, and electronics applications. This two-part material offers customizable thermal conductivity ranging from 1.2 to 3.0 W/m•K, ensuring efficient heat transfer while maintaining easy rehomogenization and efficient dispensing. The potting compound is known for its primerless adhesion, making it a versatile solution for various applications.

In addition to the potting compound, WACKER will also showcase ELASTOSIL® CM 146 US A/B, a sprayable silicone coating that forms a flexible barrier system in battery applications. This material remains deformable after curing and then transforms into a hard ceramic shield at temperatures above 600°C, providing strong thermal insulation during a thermal runaway event. The coating also boasts fast room-temperature curing, low volatile content, and no oil bleeding effect, making it a reliable choice for battery safety.

WACKER will also highlight SEMICOSIL® PE 9351 TC VS A/B, a two-component hybrid adhesive material for assembly applications in automotive battery and electronics manufacturing. This material offers thermal conductivity up to 2.0 W/m•K, non-slump dispensing behavior, and room-temperature curing. Additionally, it meets UL 94 V-0 flame-retardant performance standards, ensuring safety in a variety of environments.

WACKER operates through a global network of 27 production sites, 22 technical competence centers, and 47 sales offices, employing more than 16,000 individuals. The company generated annual sales of around €5.5 billion in fiscal 2025, underscoring its significant presence in the specialty chemical industry.

The Battery Show brings together scientists, engineers, executives, and technology providers across the battery and electronic components development value chain, EV technology, manufacturing, and safety. WACKER experts will be available at Booth 4422 to discuss material requirements and silicone technologies for battery and electronics applications.

With a focus on addressing the interconnected requirements of battery pack and electronics applications, WACKER's advanced silicone technologies are poised to play a crucial role in the evolving landscape of battery management and safety.
