HIGH POINT, N.C., Sept. 15, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- vTv Therapeutics, a late-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing cadisegliatin, a potential first-in-class oral adjunctive therapy for type 1 diabetes, has announced the granting of stock options to a non-executive employee as an inducement to employment. The company granted 2,500 stock options to purchase shares of common stock at an exercise price of $31.44 per share.

According to Nasdaq Listing Rule 5635(c)(4), the options will vest over a four-year period. Specifically, 25% of the shares underlying the option will vest on the one-year anniversary of the applicable vesting commencement date, with the remaining shares vesting quarterly over the following 36 months, provided the employee continues to work with vTv on such vesting dates. The options have a term of 10 years and are subject to the terms and conditions of the 2026 Inducement Plan and the stock option agreement covering the grant.

vTv Therapeutics is dedicated to developing oral, small molecule drug candidates for the treatment of diabetes and other chronic diseases. The company's lead candidate, cadisegliatin, is currently in a US Phase 3 trial as a potential first-in-class oral glucokinase activator for type 1 diabetes. Cadisegliatin is designed to act selectively on the liver, increasing the activity of glucokinase independently of insulin, which could improve glycemic control through hepatic glucose uptake and glycogen storage.

The company has received Breakthrough Therapy designation from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for cadisegliatin. Despite this, the safety and efficacy of the drug have not been established, and there is no guarantee that it will receive health authority approval or become commercially available for the intended use.

This inducement grant reflects vTv Therapeutics' ongoing commitment to expanding its workforce and supporting the development of its pipeline of potential treatments for chronic diseases.
