Vodia Launches Updated iOS App for Enhanced Apple Ecosystem Integration

Vodia, a provider of cloud communications solutions, has announced the expansion of its integration with the Apple ecosystem, enhancing user experience on both iOS and iPad devices. The new Vodia iOS app, launched on July 28, 2026, offers a modern, card-based interface that aligns with the latest iOS design patterns. This update aims to provide a seamless experience for users managing calls, messages, and other daily communication workflows from their iPhone or iPad.

The redesigned app features layered cards, soft glass-style surfaces, and familiar system controls, ensuring a natural flow for users accustomed to the iPhone's interface. This design choice eliminates the need for a legacy softphone experience, making it easier for users to navigate through call history, active call controls, chat, extensions, voicemail, call parking, and transfers. The app supports iPad, offering a larger workspace for enhanced productivity.

In addition to the iOS app, Vodia has also introduced support for Apple CarPlay, enabling iPhone users to manage their Vodia PBX extension while driving. The CarPlay interface includes essential communication features such as call history, extension directory, messages, and voicemail, all accessible from the vehicle's display. This integration ensures that users can handle business calls and other communication tasks safely and efficiently during their commute.

The Vodia iOS app requires V68 or higher of the Vodia cloud phone system and is available for download from the App Store. Users can access important PBX features from the vehicle display through the CarPlay interface, including business call handling, call history, car audio support, CarPlay alerts, confirmation before dialing, extension directory, native in-car call screen, presence visibility, Siri-assisted chat, Siri calling, and voicemail playback.
