Visionary Expands Land Position at Pt. Leamington Deposit

Columbia, (Newsfile Corp. - September 22, 2026) - Visionary Copper and Gold Mines Inc. has expanded its land position at the Pt. Leamington Volcanogenic Massive Sulphide (VMS) deposit in central Newfoundland, securing the down-plunge extent of the 100%-owned gold/copper/zinc/silver deposit. The company has acquired an additional 3,575 hectares of staked ground across six mineral licences, bringing its total land position to approximately 33,000 hectares.

The down-plunge extent of the Pt. Leamington deposit provides Visionary with the opportunity to explore and potentially expand the deposit at depth. The company believes that securing the full depth potential of Pt. Leamington is essential to unlocking the long-term value of the deposit. The newly acquired ground now places the entire interpreted down-plunge projection of the deposit within Visionary's land package.

Additionally, Visionary has consolidated the ground immediately south of the Pt. Leamington deposit, covering a 3-kilometer segment of the Pt. Leamington Trend. This area hosts five isolated airborne electromagnetic (EM) conductors, interpreted to lie on the same volcanic stratigraphic horizon that hosts the Pt. Leamington deposit. Two of these conductors have historically reported massive sulphide boulders nearby, mirroring the discovery model that led to the Pt. Leamington deposit itself.

Visionary entered into a mineral property purchase agreement with Stephen Stockley Agriculture and Fabrication Inc., whereby the vendor has agreed to sell three mineral licenses to Visionary. In consideration, Visionary will pay the vendor C$10,000 and issue C$40,000 worth of common shares. The shares will be issued at a price equal to the greater of the 60-day volume weighted average price of the common shares prior to the date of the agreement and the discounted market price. The vendor will also receive a 1% net smelter return royalty, which may be repurchased with a one-time payment of C$1,000,000.

The Pt. Leamington deposit was discovered in the 1970s by Noranda Exploration Co. Ltd. following an airborne EM anomaly, after which massive sulphide boulders were found in proximity to the conductor. The first hole drilled to test the target intersected massive sulphide mineralization and became the discovery hole for the deposit that Visionary is advancing today.

Visionary's Phase 2 drilling program is set to complement the new targets. The company plans to drill 20,000 meters to test the down-plunge extent of the deposit and the Southern Targets. The 2021 Mineral Resource Estimate for the Pt. Leamington deposit, prepared by P&E Mining Consultants Inc., indicated a pit-constrained Indicated Mineral Resource of 5.0 million tonnes grading 1.42% copper equivalent (CuEq) for 156.8 million pounds CuEq (145.7 koz gold, 60.0 million pounds copper, 153.5 million pounds zinc, 2.0 million ounces silver, 1.5 million pounds lead) and an Inferred Mineral Resource of 13.7 million tonnes grading 1.27% CuEq for 384.8 million pounds CuEq (354.8 koz gold, 110.2 million pounds copper, 527.3 million pounds zinc, 6.2 million ounces silver, 7.0 million pounds lead).

The FireFly Metals' Ming deposit, located in north-central Newfoundland, illustrates the scale and depth potential of VMS systems. The Ming deposit extends approximately 3 kilometers along plunge and remains open at depth. Its footwall stringer zone reaches approximately 150 meters in thickness and exceeds 200 meters in width. FireFly's August 25, 2026 resource update reported 57.3 million tonnes of Measured and Indicated Mineral Resources grading 2.4% CuEq and 17.3 million tonnes of Inferred Mineral Resources grading 2.8% CuEq.
