NAPLES, FL, UNITED STATES, October 14, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Victor Arias, the Democratic nominee for U.S. House in Florida's 19th Congressional District, is set to appear at a town hall event in Naples, Florida, on October 15, 19 days before the general election. The event, organized by the Collier County Democrats, will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. EDT at the Vineyards Community Center, located at 6231 Arbor Blvd. W., Naples, FL 34119.
Attendees are invited to bring questions and hear the candidates' priorities as they discuss the issues affecting the community. The town hall will feature not only Arias but also David Silverberg, the Democratic nominee for the Florida Senate in District 28, and Dr. Arthur Boyer, the Democratic nominee for the Florida House in District 82.
The event falls on the first day of Medicare Open Enrollment, which runs from October 15 through December 7. This timing is significant as it allows Medicare beneficiaries to change their coverage plans. Changes take effect on January 1, 2027, if the plan receives the request by December 7. Beneficiaries should use Medicare.gov or call 1-800-MEDICARE for official coverage and enrollment information.
The campaign highlights the ongoing recovery from Hurricane Isaias, which struck the Florida Panhandle on October 9 as a Category 2 storm with maximum sustained winds of 105 mph. Arias' platform includes federal infrastructure and hurricane-preparedness resources for Southwest Florida, with a focus on roads, bridges, flood protection, and broadband. The campaign also supports expanding Medicare drug-price negotiation and limiting out-of-pocket prescription costs.
Victor Arias, a Florida attorney admitted on April 26, 1991, has more than 27 years of experience in Southwest Florida. His campaign biography describes his legal and community service record, underscoring his commitment to the region.
The event is open to the public, and media are invited to attend and take photos. Journalists can contact the Victor Arias for Congress Press Office for interviews and campaign materials.
