CALGARY, Alberta, Sept. 03, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Veteran Capital Corp. has announced that its common shares will resume trading on the TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV) following a review by the TSXV. The shares had been halted on June 12, 2024, due to the company’s announcement of a proposed Qualifying Transaction, which has since been terminated. Veteran Capital continues to search for a suitable Qualifying Transaction.

The company also plans to hold its annual general meeting of shareholders on October 15, 2026. This meeting will address the company’s delayed shareholder meeting since its incorporation in 2021, during which it sought a Qualifying Transaction. Shareholders will be asked to ratify the company’s prior acts. The meeting will include the adoption of a code of business conduct and the appointment of a Corporate Governance Committee to oversee governance practices, in response to concerns over past corporate governance standards.

Veteran Capital Corp. has acknowledged that its previous lack of governance disclosures did not meet the standards set out in form 58-101F2 of National Instrument 58-101, Disclosure of Corporate Governance Practices. The company intends to remedy these deficiencies in the upcoming meeting materials.

The resumption of trading and the upcoming shareholder meeting are significant for the company, as they indicate a renewed effort to meet the requirements of the TSX Venture Exchange and regain the confidence of investors. The company is optimistic about its future prospects and is actively searching for a Qualifying Transaction.
