EL CENTRO, Calif., Oct. 6, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Vero Fiber has commenced the construction of a fiber-to-the-home network in El Centro, aiming to bring high-speed internet to residents, businesses, and educational institutions. The project, which will be built in designated zones across the city, initially focuses on areas surrounding neighborhoods near De Anza Magnet School, located between South Imperial Avenue and South La Brucherie Road, from Ross Avenue south to Ocotillo Drive.

According to Sunita Krishna, CEO of Vero Fiber, the initiative is a significant investment in the community.

The construction will proceed in phases, with each zone encompassing approximately 300 homes. Future construction areas include neighborhoods near Sunflower Elementary School and the El Centro Community Center. Vero Fiber's commitment to local communities is evident through its hyperlocal approach, which has already seen the company establish fiber networks in cities such as Arcata, Eureka, and Ukiah, California.

Vero Fiber has also launched a referral program, encouraging residents and businesses to refer friends and family members to its services. Both parties will receive a free month of fiber internet. Additionally, the company offers discounts through its Veros Heroes program, which is available to first responders, teachers, healthcare workers, and other essential personnel.

The company's expansion into El Centro is part of its broader strategy to provide reliable, affordable, and future-proof connectivity to communities across the United States. Vero Fiber has already hired 29 people across California and plans to continue hiring in the El Centro community. In 2025, the company donated $13,000 to local nonprofits and a fire station, directly supporting the community's needs.

As the project progresses, Vero Fiber aims to enhance the local economy and provide residents with the infrastructure necessary to support their digital lifestyles and future innovations. The company's commitment to building a robust fiber network in El Centro underscores its dedication to improving the quality of life for its residents and fostering a more connected community.
