BRISBANE, Calif., Sept. 04, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Vera Therapeutics, a commercial-stage biotechnology company based in Brisbane, California, has announced the grant of inducement awards to six new employees. The grants, made on September 1, 2026, are part of the company's 2024 Inducement Plan and consist of non-qualified stock options and restricted stock units (RSUs).

According to the company, the inducement awards are in line with Nasdaq Listing Rule 5635(c)(4), designed to attract and retain talent by offering equity incentives to new hires. The inducement awards include non-qualified stock options to purchase 61,500 shares of Class A common stock and RSUs underlying 30,750 shares of Class A common stock.

Each stock option has an exercise price per share equal to the closing trading price of Vera Therapeutics' Class A common stock on the grant date, which was $34.23. The options will vest over a period of four years, with 25% vesting on the first anniversary of the grant date and the remaining 75% vesting monthly over 36 months, contingent upon the new employees' continued employment.

Similarly, the RSU awards will also vest over four years, with 25% vesting annually, either on August 20 or November 20, 2026, depending on the start date of the new employee, provided the employees remain with the company through the applicable vesting dates.

Vera Therapeutics is dedicated to advancing treatments in autoimmune diseases, particularly those affecting the kidneys. Its flagship product, TRUTAKNATM (atacicept-vymj), is a B-cell activating factor (BAFF) and A proliferation-inducing ligand (APRIL) inhibitor, currently in commercial use. The company is also exploring other therapeutic areas where reducing autoantibodies through BAFF and APRIL inhibition could be beneficial.

Founded in 2016, Vera Therapeutics continues to expand its research and development efforts, aiming to bring innovative treatments to patients suffering from autoimmune conditions. The inducement awards are seen as a strategic move to strengthen the company's workforce and support its mission.
