Venetian Las Vegas Settlement Offers Compensation to Website Users

SAN JOSE, Calif., Sept. 25, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Venetian Las Vegas Gaming, LLC has reached a settlement in a class action lawsuit over the alleged unauthorized disclosure of website users' guest record information and confidential communications. The settlement, which was agreed upon to avoid the uncertainties and expenses of continuing the case, will provide financial compensation to eligible California residents who accessed or made reservations through the Venetian Las Vegas website during a specific period.
According to the press release, the settlement includes a Booking Settlement Fund of $931,713.50 and a Browsing Settlement Fund of $668,286.50. These funds are intended to compensate class members who accessed the Venetian Las Vegas website or made hotel reservations through the site between September 18, 2024, and March 16, 2026. The estimated claims rate for Booking Settlement Class Members is 20 percent, potentially yielding a payment of approximately $71.39 per member. For Browsing Settlement Class Members, the claims rate is 10 percent, with an estimated payment of $3.60 per member.
The settlement also includes the payment of notice and administration expenses, attorneys' fees, and an incentive award. These expenses will be paid proportionally from both the Booking and Browsing Settlement Funds. Class members who are eligible for compensation must submit a timely and complete Claim Form by November 24, 2026. The form can be submitted either electronically on the Settlement Website at www.VenetianLasVegasSettlement.com or by printing and mailing in a paper Claim Form, which is also available for download at the Settlement Website.
Those who do not wish to participate in the settlement can exclude themselves by sending a written request to the Settlement Administrator by the same deadline. If excluded, individuals will retain their rights to sue Venetian Las Vegas Gaming, LLC over the legal issues in the lawsuit. Alternatively, class members can choose to object to the proposed settlement by filing a written objection by the same date. The Court will hold a Final Approval Hearing on December 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in Courtroom 8 at the Robert F. Peckham Federal Building & United States Courthouse in San José, California. At this hearing, the Court will consider any objections, determine the fairness of the settlement, and decide on the Fee Award and Service Award for Class Counsel. The Court can only approve or deny the settlement and cannot change its terms.
