ValleyStar Credit Union Donates $45,425 to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals

ValleyStar Credit Union recently donated $45,425 to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, marking a significant contribution in the ongoing effort to support local children and their families.

The donation, totaling $45,425, was presented to Macy Ware, Director of Children's Miracle Network at Carilion Clinic, during a ceremony at ValleyStar's Administrative Campus on July 8, 2026. Of this amount, $35,000 was raised through ValleyStar's 30th Annual Golf Tournament, a long-standing community event that has garnered support from sponsors, golfers, volunteers, and community partners. The success of this year's tournament underscores the generosity of those involved, who rallied to make a difference for children in Southwest and Central Virginia.

The remaining $10,425 came from ValleyStar employees' payroll giving program, further emphasizing the collective impact of the credit union's staff in supporting local charitable causes. Woody Windley, Interim President and Chief Financial Officer of ValleyStar Credit Union, expressed gratitude for the contributions made by the credit union community.
