NEW YORK, Sept. 17, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- The U.S. Army has launched a new marketing campaign called "Field Tested," which aims to showcase the unique training environments where soldiers develop essential skills for the future. This initiative comes at a time when many young Americans are feeling uncertain about their future prospects, highlighting the Army’s role in providing a path forward and building lifelong competencies.
The campaign, produced by D S Simon Media, features three films that follow real Army soldiers from the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division at Fort Polk, Louisiana. These films illustrate how soldiers gain hands-on experience and learn to solve complex problems, lead under pressure, and rely on each other to overcome challenges. The training environments, which include harsh weather conditions and equipment malfunctions, are designed to prepare soldiers for any situation they might face.
In "The Field is the Teacher," soldiers are shown using drones, mapping technology, coding, and problem-solving in the field. This experience helps them lead and operate under pressure, no matter where they go next. "The Field Takes a Team" focuses on soldiers coordinating across roles, relying on each other in the field, and building bonds that last beyond the mission. They learn to communicate, support one another, and work as a unified team. "The Field Makes Us Stronger" highlights soldiers being tested by the terrain, weather, and every obstacle the field presents. Each challenge builds their strength to handle whatever lies ahead.
Staff Sgt. Kenneth Garcia, an Infantryman and Scout Team Leader, is featured prominently in the campaign. Garcia, originally from Brooklyn, New York, joined the Army through the Buddy Enlistment Program with his cousin. In fewer than five years, he has risen through the ranks, earned his Expert Infantryman Badge, and completed three prestigious Army schools: Air Assault, Airborne, and Mountain Warfare. Garcia’s journey underscores the real-world training and hands-on experiences soldiers gain through service.
Garcia shared his experience, explaining that "Field Tested" is especially relevant at a time when many young Americans feel uncertain about the future. He emphasized the importance of field training as a part of Army life and how his own experiences have helped prepare him for challenges. Garcia highlighted how Army training has prepared him for life in and out of uniform by developing problem-solving and leadership skills, learning to operate under pressure, and working as part of a team.
The campaign aims to showcase the Army’s modernization, including evolving careers and capabilities such as drone operations, geospatial analysis, coding, and intelligence. It also underscores the Army’s commitment to providing guidance, stability, and a path forward to young Americans seeking direction in their lives.
