UPT Launches Virtual IBAN Service for Simplified International Payments

ISTANBUL, Sept. 22, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- UPT, a pioneering financial technology subsidiary of Aktif Bank and Türkiye's first national global money transfer and payment platform, has announced a significant expansion of its services with the launch of a virtual International Bank Account Number (IBAN) service. This new offering, which will be powered by Currencycloud, a Visa Direct offering, aims to simplify international payments for corporate customers.

UPT will enable corporate users to access virtual EUR and GBP IBANs in their own company names, allowing them to manage international collections through a single platform. This service is similar to the European Account service already offered to individual users through UPT's mobile application, UPTION. The company plans to add USD support at a later stage.

The virtual IBAN service is part of UPT's broader strategy to enhance its cross-border payments offering. Currencycloud will also enable UPT to introduce real-time foreign exchange capabilities, further simplifying international transactions for its corporate customers. Kastan emphasized that UPT aims to provide a fast, uninterrupted, and reliable transaction experience with competitive foreign exchange rates.
