Upside Gold Corp. has launched an exploration program to advance its Kena Gold-Copper Project in southeastern British Columbia. The company aims to refine its geological understanding and prioritize targets for future drilling across several key areas within the broader Kena system.

The field program, which began in September 2026, focuses on four primary polymetallic mineralized areas: Euphrates, Venus-Juno, Three Friends, and the northwestern extent of the Kena Gold Zone. Each of these areas holds significant potential for gold and copper deposits, according to Upside's previous exploration efforts.

At the Euphrates area, Upside will build on historical production data, which shows that two adits have averaged 46.9 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold and 249 g/t of silver. In 2025, surface sampling returned values of up to 26.1 g/t of gold and 179 g/t of silver, but no historical drilling has been conducted in this region. The exploration team will focus on evaluating the widths and additional sampling of the altered and sulphidic rocks adjacent to the veins, which have shown values up to 4.1 g/t of gold and 6.9 g/t of silver from the 2025 program.

The recently acquired Venus-Juno claims, which have reported historical production of approximately 5,411 tonnes grading 19.8 g/t of gold and 17.7 g/t of silver, will also be advanced as part of the program. The field team will evaluate these claims, define new drill targets, and prospect other historically neglected showings, including the abandoned Birds Eye Adit, which hosts multiple altered and thick sulphidic quartz veins.

The Three Friends prospect, a cluster of polymetallic showings, will also be further evaluated. The initial June visit identified additional adits and workings not documented in historical documents, and field work will include soil and chip sampling over the area.

The northwestern extent of the Kena Gold Zone will be prospected and field evaluated as part of the company's broader target-generation strategy. This area hosts extensive strong gold soil anomalies and multiple pit workings that are of significant interest to the exploration team.

Sophy Cesar, CEO and Director of Upside Gold Corp., stated, "With drilling now complete, we intend to make the most of the remaining field season and continue advancing Kena. Drill core logging is ongoing, and additional samples are being prepared and submitted for analysis. Our exploration team is now focused on several prospective areas across the project as we continue building our pipeline of future drill targets."

Dr. Trevor Boyd, Vice President, Exploration of Upside Gold Corp., added, "Euphrates, Venus-Juno, Three Friends, and the northwestern Kena Gold Zone each provide a strong geological rationale for further field and geochemical evaluation. This program is designed to refine our understanding of these areas and prioritize the most prospective targets for future follow-up and potential drilling."

The Kena Gold-Copper Project, located in southeastern British Columbia, approximately 7 kilometers southwest of Nelson, consists of 207 mineral claims and 11 crown grants covering 10,578 hectares. The project hosts a historical gold resource comprising an Indicated Mineral Resource of 32.146 million tonnes at an average grade of 0.544 g/t gold for 0.561 million ounces of gold, and an Inferred Mineral Resource of 177.507 million tonnes at an average grade of 0.486 g/t gold for 2.77 million ounces of gold.
