Universal AI Awards Comes to Miami for G20 Summit

The Universal AI Awards is set to bring its Americas Chapter to Miami on the eve of the G20 Summit on December 13, 2026. The event will honor ethical and impactful AI leadership, following the success of the inaugural Universal AI Awards in New Delhi earlier this month. The Americas Chapter, organized by Knowledge Networks, will take place at the JW Marriott Marquis, Miami, and is scheduled to draw more than 300 attendees from over 100 organizations across various sectors, including government, enterprise, startups, and research.
Nominations for the Americas Chapter open until November 10, 2026. The event will feature 15+ categories, including AI in Financial Services and FinTech, Generative AI Application of the Year, Visionary Leader of the Year, and AI for Social Good. The categories are designed to recognize organizations and leaders whose AI work delivers measurable results while meeting a high bar for ethics, transparency, and governance.
The Universal AI Awards, an initiative of Knowledge Networks, follows the success of the India Chapter in New Delhi, which drew more than 300 attendees from over 100 organizations. Knowledge Networks, a global hub for AI governance and responsible innovation, will convene at the World Economic Forum and the UN Global Dialogue on AI Governance. The event will be supported by a wide advisory network, including senior figures from the United Nations Secretariat, Bayer, the University of Michigan, the New York Academy of Sciences, and the International Center for Journalists.
The advisory board for the Universal AI Awards includes María Elena Agüero, Secretary General of Club de Madrid; Dr. Aminata Touré, former Prime Minister of Senegal; Toby Walsh, Chief Scientist of the UNSW AI Institute in Sydney; Vivek Lall, CEO of General Atomics Global Corporation; Nenad Mijatovic, Chief AI & Data Scientist at Alstom; and Dr. Ashish Jha, Co-Founder and CEO of BioRadar. EY serves as the Process Advisor, supporting the evaluation methodology, process governance, and assessment framework to ensure consistent, transparent, and integrity-driven judging of every entry.
The Universal AI Awards is about impact, innovators solving real problems and leaders scaling AI responsibly. Governance is a growing part of that story, but what we’re celebrating in Miami is excellence: AI that works, is built and led well, and makes a measurable difference. The event will be free to enter, with eligibility limited to American registered organizations with at least six months of registered presence in the USA, and open to qualifying leaders and research professionals.
