NEW YORK, Sept. 1, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Turning Rock Partners and AerFin Limited have expanded their partnership with a new asset-backed financing deal involving three Airbus A220 aircraft. This marks the second such transaction between the two firms, underscoring their commitment to the asset-intensive aviation sector.

Sha Khoja, Head of Credit at Turning Rock Partners, stated, "This second transaction with AerFin represents a natural extension of our partnership and demonstrates the strength of combining disciplined underwriting with an aligned operating partner to pursue attractive risk-adjusted returns with downside protection, underpinned by owned collateral."

Under the terms of the agreement, the aircraft will operate temporarily before the engines transition to long-term lease arrangements. The airframes will be disassembled, with AerFin managing the teardown, maintenance, and parts distribution. AerFin's technical expertise and global aftermarket platform will ensure the maximization of asset value.

Simon Goodson, CEO of AerFin, emphasized, "As the first independent provider to bring A220 used serviceable material to market, we're helping to create new sources of supply for operators and lessors, improving availability and providing customers with greater flexibility."

The transaction was supported by Investec Aviation Finance, while legal counsel was provided by Holland & Knight, Matheson LLP, and Stream Avocats & Solicitors Paris. Shannon Technical Services offered collateral assessment and technical and physical inspection services, and TRP Senior Advisor Michael Platt reviewed the financing.

Khoja added, "It further reflects our commitment to specialized, asset-intensive sectors, where our sourcing capabilities and structuring expertise allow us to capitalize on differentiated opportunities."

AerFin's unique approach to the aviation market has been instrumental in driving value for its owners and customers. With regional hubs in Europe, Asia-Pacific, and the Americas, AerFin is well-positioned to support global fleet management.

This partnership not only highlights the growing importance of asset-backed financing in the aviation industry but also demonstrates the potential for innovative solutions to address the needs of operators and lessors.
