GREENBELT, Md., Oct. 1, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- TRX Systems, a provider of military-grade PNT (Positioning, Navigation, and Timing) solutions, has expanded its DAPS GEN II Assured PNT system to include vehicle support, marking a significant milestone in the company’s product line. This new capability, introduced through the Vehicular Interface Adapter (VIA), allows the DAPS GEN II system to be seamlessly integrated into military vehicles and other U.S. Army platforms, ensuring reliable PNT even in contested environments.

The U.S. Army has awarded TRX Systems a seventh delivery order (DO7) for the DAPS GEN II system, which will be deployed in vehicle and mounted applications. This order builds on the company’s extensive experience in providing assured PNT to dismounted warfighters, delivering thousands of DAPS GEN II systems to date. The new VIA accessory is designed to facilitate easy integration of the DAPS GEN II system into existing platforms, while simultaneously delivering assured positioning and timing to an array of vehicle C2 (Command, Control, and Communication) systems.

DAPS GEN II is a state-of-the-art APNT (Assured Positioning, Navigation, and Timing) system that replaces the legacy Defense Advanced GPS Receiver (DAGR). It leverages multiple satellite sources, including M-Code GPS, as well as inertial and environmental sensors to provide resilient and accurate PNT. The system is particularly useful in environments where GPS signals are jammed or spoofed, ensuring that warfighters and their combat systems can remain on mission.

The VIA, a key component of the DAPS GEN II Mounted Engineering Change Proposal (DME), enables the system to be easily integrated into military vehicles. It can also connect to anti-jam antennas and external sensors as required, accommodating varying threat environments. The DME solution, which includes the DAPS GEN II device, VIA, antennas, and platform-specific installation components, is expected to be delivered to the first unit equipped by mid-2027.

Carol Politi, CEO of TRX Systems, emphasized the importance of the modular architecture of DAPS.

The expansion of DAPS GEN II to vehicle support represents a significant step forward in TRX Systems’ mission to provide reliable PNT solutions to military personnel. By integrating the DAPS GEN II system into military vehicles, the company is addressing the growing need for robust PNT capabilities in a variety of operational environments. This move not only enhances the safety and mission effectiveness of warfighters but also underscores TRX Systems’ commitment to innovation and adaptability in the rapidly evolving landscape of military technology.
