TrustKernel launches PlugClaw portable AI computer for worldwide shipping

LONDON, Sept. 4, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- TrustKernel, an AI security and privacy computing company, has launched its latest product, PlugClaw, and opened free confidential inference on its newly deployed servers. PlugClaw, a USB-C stick-sized private AI computer, is now available for worldwide shipping, marking a significant step in portable AI computing.

Measuring just 50 × 19 × 8 mm and weighing 15 grams, PlugClaw houses a MediaTek Helio G80 processor, up to 6 GB of memory, and 128 GB of encrypted storage. It runs on PlugOS, a privacy-hardened Android system, alongside Ubuntu as the agent runtime. This compact device can transform any phone, tablet, or computer into an AI workstation, bringing confidential AI computing to consumer hardware.

The device's small form factor belies its capabilities. By plugging PlugClaw into a host device, the host serves as the display and input, while the agent, its applications, credentials, and working data run in the device's secure environment. This environment operates independently of the host, ensuring that the agent does not require administrator access to the host. Moreover, the agent cannot access the host's photos, documents, or accounts, providing a robust layer of privacy.

Unlike many contemporary agents, which require full device permissions to function, PlugClaw runs OpenClaw natively, enhanced with a GUI agent layer and Android-Use. This allows it to perform tasks such as opening apps, replying to messages, organizing files, and completing multi-step tasks, much like a person would. Any issues or data fallout remain contained to the device, ensuring user privacy and security.

PlugClaw supports a wide range of operating systems, including Android, iPhone, iPad, Windows, Mac, Linux, and HarmonyOS. This compatibility means that users can carry the same apps, memory, and workflows across multiple devices, making it a versatile solution for various computing needs.

When tasks require frontier models, requests are processed in a cloud-based hardware Trusted Execution Environment. This ensures that neither the cloud provider nor TrustKernel can access the data, maintaining user privacy and security. In preview testing, users consistently chose confidential models over cheaper non-confidential options, highlighting the demand for privacy-preserving technology.

Hardware is a one-time purchase with no subscription required. Users can bring their own API keys (BYOK) or use preinstalled models, with an initial $15 in credits included. The device is now available for purchase at €128 or US$149, with review units available upon request.
