Troilus Mining Reports Positive Results from Z87 Optimization Drill Program

MONTREAL, Sept. 17, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Troilus Mining Corp., a Canadian development-stage mining company, has announced positive results from its ongoing Z87 optimization drill program at the Troilus Gold-Copper Project in north-central Quebec. The company has reported nine drill holes totaling 4,728 meters, which are part of the 2026 exploration program.
The Z87 optimization program aims to target Inferred material and historically unsampled intervals within and around the current Z87 Reserve pit. The objective is to identify opportunities to improve the mine plan presented in the company’s Technical Report on September 9, 2026. The current Mineral Resource and Mineral Reserve estimates, effective as of December 31, 2025, exclude all drilling completed in 2026. The results from the current drilling continue to demonstrate mineralization in areas currently classified as Inferred or treated as waste in the existing block model.
One of the highlights of the drilling is the intersection of 129.05 meters grading 0.95 grams per tonne (g/t) gold equivalent (AuEq) from drill hole 87-26-485, starting at 398 meters downhole. This interval includes 3.38 g/t AuEq over 22 meters, which further includes 4.34 g/t AuEq over 12.47 meters. This area of the reserve pit contains inferred blocks that are not incorporated into the current mine plan.
Another significant result is from drill hole 87-26-531, which intersected 125.5 meters grading 0.74 g/t AuEq, including 74.3 meters grading 0.99 g/t AuEq from the main zone of Z87. This hole targeted Inferred material and returned 20 meters grading 0.31 g/t AuEq and 41.4 meters grading 0.28 g/t AuEq from the hangingwall, where the current block model does not contain mineralization.
Drill hole 87-26-529, located 50 meters south of 87-26-485 and 87-26-531, returned 1.15 g/t AuEq over 45 meters within a broader zone of 0.51 g/t AuEq over 154 meters from the main zone of Z87, approximately 70 meters below the reserve pit. This hole also returned 73 meters grading 0.35 g/t AuEq, including 0.72 g/t AuEq over 13 meters from the Z87 hangingwall and 0.53 g/t AuEq over 40 meters, including 1.54 g/t AuEq over 8 meters from the footwall.
The company’s CEO, Justin Reid, commented, “The drilling is showing more extensive mineralization than is currently represented in the resource model. Subject to further drilling, geological modelling, engineering evaluation, and incorporation into future mine-plan updates, the mineralization may have the potential to reduce waste movement and improve strip ratios in this portion of the deposit.”
Troilus has released 39 drillholes totaling 14,521 meters of the approximately 24,000 meters allocated to the Z87 pit optimization program, which includes the targeting of Inferred and unsampled material within and around the reserve pit shell. The company continues to systematically test historically unsampled intervals to determine whether mineralization extends through these areas, which are currently modeled as waste.
The results from the 2026 drilling program are expected to build on earlier findings and contribute to the potential conversion of Inferred material to Indicated, enhancing the overall resource and reserve estimates. The company remains focused on advancing the former gold and copper Troilus Mine towards production, positioning it as a cornerstone project in North America.
