Tribeca Resources Identifies High-Priority Drill Targets at Jiguata Project

Tribeca Resources Corporation has identified multiple high-priority drill targets across a large-scale porphyry-epithermal system at its Jiguata high sulphidation epithermal-porphyry copper exploration project in northern Chile. The company's integrated exploration program, which included geological, geochemical, and geophysical data, has defined several promising areas for further exploration.

The project, covering 10,000 hectares in the Tarapacá region, is situated within a broader geological setting that includes both porphyry copper belts and younger Miocene magmatic activity. This geological setting has seen recent discoveries of high-sulphidation epithermal gold and porphyry copper-gold deposits, such as the Vendaval Cu-Au Porphyry and the Salares Norte Au-Ag High Sulphidation Epithermal deposits.

Tribeca Resources has focused its efforts on two key areas: La Soberana and Cetro Dorado. La Soberana is interpreted as a 2.5km by 1.5km porphyry/epithermal target zone that combines porphyry style Mo-W-Bi ± Cu geochemical anomalism with an epithermal As-Sb-Te ± Ag-Au overprint. Advanced argillic alteration, hydrothermal breccias, and geophysical responses at the intersection of two major structures support the interpreted exploration potential of the area.

At Cetro Dorado, the company has identified the strongest lithocap-style geochemical and alteration expression within the project. Elevated As-Sb-Te ± Ag-Au anomalism is spatially associated with interpreted advanced argillic alteration and hydrothermal brecciation. The presence of weathered Type-D quartz-sulphide veinlets, interpreted as weathered Type-B porphyry-style veining, further supports the prospectivity of the target. Geophysical features, including magnetic lows, magnetic highs, and interpreted MT resistivity "funnel" features, provide additional evidence of the target's potential.

The company's exploration model, based on the integrated analysis of various datasets, has highlighted multiple target areas displaying characteristics consistent with the upper levels of a porphyry/epithermal system. These targets include La Soberana and Cetro Dorado, along with the preliminary targets of Escudo Real and El Trono. The La Soberana target is characterized by overlapping Mo-W-Bi ± Cu and As-Sb-Te ± Ag-Au anomalism, advanced argillic alteration, and multiple hydrothermal breccia bodies. The Cetro Dorado target, on the other hand, exhibits advanced argillic alteration, porphyry-style vein textures, and coincident geophysical responses.

Tribeca Resources CEO, Dr. Paul Gow, commented, "The integrated review of our 2026 field and geophysical datasets has significantly advanced the Jiguata exploration model and allowed us to define several high-priority targets for drill testing. La Soberana and Cetro Dorado are emerging as the two most advanced of the four identified alteration centres, based on their geological, geochemical, and geophysical characteristics, while El Trono and Escudo Real add important scale and optionality to the broader project."

The next phase of systematic exploration and drilling activities at Jiguata will focus on testing the defined targets, with initial drilling planned to commence at the La Soberana alteration centre. Drill hole depths are expected to be +700m, with drill platforms set at elevations of approximately 4600m. The company has already commenced community engagement in preparation for the proposed Phase 1 drill program.
