Tri-Counties Regional Center Names New Executive Director

Tri-Counties Regional Center, one of 21 non-profit regional centers in California, has announced the appointment of Dr. Jesse Weller as its new Executive Director. This appointment follows a thorough, nationwide search process launched by the TCADD Board of Directors in February 2026. The selection process heavily integrated community feedback, using insights from individuals and families served, service providers, and staff to shape the executive job description and interview evaluations.

Dr. Weller brings extensive leadership experience within California’s regional center system. He has served as the Executive Director of the San Gabriel/Pomona Regional Center (SG/PRC) for the past four years. Prior to that, he spent many years at the North Los Angeles County Regional Center (NLACRC), concluding his tenure there as Associate Executive Director. Dr. Weller is also highly active on a statewide level, serving on many Association of Regional Center Agencies (ARCA) committees and various state working groups.

The appointment of Dr. Weller comes after Dr. Omar Noorzad, the current Executive Director, has dedicated 25 years of service to the TCRC.

Dr. Weller expressed his honor and humility in following in Dr. Noorzad’s footsteps.

Dr. Weller will officially assume his role as Executive Director prior to Dr. Noorzad’s final day. The Board of Directors extends its deepest gratitude to the community stakeholders, regional center executives, ARCA, and the consulting firm Kinetic Flow for their expert guidance throughout the search process.

Tri-Counties Regional Center is one of 21 non-profit regional centers in California providing support and services to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. TCRC serves over 22,000 people across San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties, dedicated to building inclusive communities and enhancing the quality of life for the individuals it serves.
