HONG KONG, HONG KONG, October 14, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- TonoCard, a Hong Kong-based company, has announced its plans to launch a groundbreaking 3.2 mm AI call-screening device on Kickstarter on October 15, 2026, at 7:00 a.m. PDT / 10:00 a.m. EDT. The device, designed to attach to the back of a compatible smartphone, aims to reduce interruptions while ensuring users do not miss important calls.
The TonoCard is a compact Bluetooth accessory that measures 86 × 56 × 3.2 mm and weighs approximately 35 grams. Its hardware includes a 120 × 240-pixel OLED display, Bluetooth 5.3, and a 600 mAh battery rated for about 30 days of standby. The device connects to a paired smartphone via Bluetooth HFP and BLE, similar to a hands-free system or Bluetooth headset. This architecture allows the TonoCard to interact with live calls without requiring a second SIM card or separate phone number.
TonoCard's system is designed to answer unattended calls after five seconds, identify the caller’s purpose, and alert the user when a conversation matches predefined priorities. Unlike app-only call-screening tools, the TonoCard can handle calls without needing a second SIM or phone number. According to the company, this design helps users manage their calls more effectively, reducing interruptions while ensuring they do not miss important conversations.
The call-handling rules are configured through TonoCard’s companion app using plain-language instructions or one of three operating modes: no takeover, unknown callers only, or full takeover. The system is designed to screen unfamiliar numbers and transfer calls that match user-defined priorities. Calls handled by the system are recorded in the companion app with a concise summary and traceable transcript. Subject to user approval and platform availability, TonoCard is also designed to support outbound calls and follow-up actions for routine tasks such as inquiries, bookings, and confirmations.
The Kickstarter campaign is expected to include an introductory pledge level of US$159, subject to availability and the campaign’s published terms. The final product specifications, compatibility requirements, estimated fulfillment timing, and campaign updates will be available on the official Kickstarter campaign page.
TonoCard is developed by a Hong Kong-based product team focused on compact AI hardware for phone-call management. Its card-format Bluetooth device is designed to work with existing smartphones and help users screen incoming calls, review summaries and transcripts, and approve follow-up actions. The company aims to provide users with a seamless and efficient way to manage their calls, ensuring they stay connected without being overwhelmed by unnecessary interruptions.
