WASHINGTON, Oct. 2, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Tigerlily Foundation is set to host its annual Pajama Glam Party 2026, an event designed to empower girls and their families through health literacy, self-advocacy, and connection. The experience will bring approximately 150 girls, caregivers, and community members together for candid conversations about body awareness, prevention, family health history, emotional wellness, and the power of every girl's voice.

The event, scheduled for Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m., at the Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner in Tysons Corner, Virginia, marks Tigerlily Foundation's 20-year mission to transform awareness into action. Founded by Maimah Karmo, the organization aims to equip the next generation with the knowledge, confidence, and voice to advocate for their health at every stage of life.

Inspired by Noelle Karmo-Walsh, daughter of Tigerlily Foundation's President and CEO, the event was born from the recognition that children need a space in this journey. Noelle, who was diagnosed with breast cancer at 32, saw an opportunity to create something that spoke directly to children and families.

At Pajama Glam, pajamas replace formal attire, and sparkle opens the door to connection, making it easier to begin conversations that can feel difficult. The event features interactive wellness activities, body awareness education, confidence-building experiences, family conversation moments, creative expression, and special surprises.

The event underscores the importance of health literacy. Nearly 9 in 10 adults struggle to understand and use health information when it includes unfamiliar or complex terms, while Black women continue to experience significantly higher breast cancer mortality than White women. These disparities highlight the need for trusted health information to reach families early. Pajama Glam introduces girls and families to body awareness, family health history, and self-advocacy in an age-appropriate way, building the confidence to ask questions and speak up for their care.

Pajama Glam extends Tigerlily Foundation's mission to the next generation, introducing girls and families to health literacy, self-advocacy, and community care early in life. The event offers a welcoming space for families to explore topics that are often hard to discuss, such as illness, fear, inherited risk, prevention, mental wellness, and the importance of seeking care.

For media, Tigerlily Foundation will offer exclusive on-site interview, photography, and broadcast opportunities with Maimah Karmo, President and CEO, and youth advocate Noelle Karmo-Walsh. Media are encouraged to attend and capture the event's atmosphere, which blends sparkle with substance and begins conversations that can transform generations.
