Tiger Gold Corp. has announced assay results from its ongoing drilling program at the Ceibal target within its Quinchía Gold Project in Colombia. The results, part of a 20,000-meter drill campaign, highlight significant gold mineralization at depth, including a 36-meter interval grading 2.9 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 400 meters downhole.
The drilling, conducted by Tiger Gold, has intersected multiple intervals of gold mineralization. CEDDH-019, a key hole, returned 165.7 meters grading 0.9 g/t gold from 284 meters downhole, including a higher-grade interval of 36 meters grading 2.9 g/t gold from 400 meters.
CEDDH-018, another drill hole, confirmed broad gold mineralization from surface to the end of the hole, intersecting 465 meters grading 0.6 g/t gold. The hole included several intervals of higher-grade gold, such as 21 meters grading 1.2 g/t gold from 24 meters and 10 meters grading 1.3 g/t gold from 52 meters.
The drilling program at Ceibal has outlined a northwest to north trending mineralized corridor that is interpreted to be sub-vertical, with an indeterminate dip direction. The apparent width of the corridor is not well constrained by drilling, and mineralization has been traced to approximately 800 meters vertically below surface in previous drilling. The company plans to continue drilling to better define the geometry and continuity of the mineralized corridor.
Vallis added, "At this early stage of exploration, the geometry and dip direction of the corridor are not yet defined, and its true thickness, extent, and continuity remain to be established by further drilling. To help resolve the orientation and dip, the Company has drilled a pair of offset scissor holes, CEDDH-020 and CEDDH-021, for which assays are pending."
The drilling at Ceibal is part of a broader exploration effort to support a maiden Mineral Resource estimate that the company is targeting to report near the end of the first quarter of 2027. However, there is no certainty that a Mineral Resource estimate will be defined at the Ceibal target.
The company's exploration activities at the Quinchía Gold Project are also ongoing at the Tesorito deposit, with two drill rigs currently completing infill, extension, and gap drilling to upgrade a significant portion of the deposit to the Indicated category. Drilling at Tesorito is expected to conclude near the end of this month, after which both rigs will be mobilized to Ceibal.
The assay results from CEDDH-019 and CEDDH-018 are part of Tiger Gold's ongoing exploration efforts at the Ceibal target, which lies approximately 1 kilometer south of the Miraflores deposit and 1 kilometer southwest of the Tesorito deposit, within the regional Marmato Fault Corridor. The results continue to support the company's belief in the potential of the Ceibal target and its broader exploration strategy in the Quinchía Gold Project.
