MILAN, Oct. 5, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- FUTIAN DISTRICT, SHENZHEN - On September 22, 2026, Milano Fashion Week® hosted a significant event in collaboration with the People's Government of Futian District, Shenzhen. The event took place at Milan's Rotonda della Besana, marking a milestone in the fashion industry's global exchange.
Laurèl, a brand founded in Munich in 1978, presented its "Layers of Time" collection, which combined Bauhaus precision with Renaissance references, architectural tailoring, and craftsmanship. The brand's renewed WAKUKU collaboration through Rèl-LY showcased its commitment to preserving Bauhaus aesthetics and rational balance in high-end womenswear.
The brand highlighted the balance between intelligent manufacturing, artisanal refinement, and fluid tailoring, emphasizing the importance of human craftsmanship in an era of AI and mass production.
YINER, the third brand, explored the concept of time through nature in its "Nature Imprint" collection. The collection featured linear motifs, pleating, prints, natural fibres, lace, and metallic threads, translating the traces of nature into form. Earth-inspired tones connected natural memory and contemporary femininity, reflecting the brand's deep connection to the environment.
The event was organized by the Bay Area Sustainable Fashion Alliance and Shenzhen Fumei Space Innovation Development Co., Ltd., with support from the People's Government of Futian District. The district has been at the forefront of the fashion industry, with 2,600 above-scale fashion enterprises in 2025, generating RMB 566.3 billion in revenue. The district employs 400,000 fashion professionals and is home to four leading Chinese womenswear brands. Additionally, the district offers up to RMB 5 million in support to fashion enterprises and houses 30+ brands at the Bay Area Fashion Center, making it a hub for innovation and collaboration.
The event highlighted Futian's energy and exchanges, fostering a dialogue between China's Greater Bay Area and the European fashion industry. The district's commitment to sustainability and innovation is evident in its support for the fashion industry and the development of the Bay Area Fashion Center, which is China's first RMB 10 billion-level high-end womenswear headquarters building.
