The Flying Engineer, an aviation company directory and news site, has launched a new platform called Cirrus Hub. This comprehensive resource maps out authorized service centers, independent specialists, and training schools for Cirrus aircraft owners. The hub aims to address the questions Cirrus owners frequently ask, such as which centers can perform CAPS (Cirrus Airframe Parachute System) overhauls, Vision Jet maintenance, and what services are available for aircraft pickup and delivery.
Cirrus owners typically start by using the manufacturer's own service center locator. However, the new Cirrus Hub expands on this by providing a more detailed and user-friendly interface. According to the data, 104 out of 213 authorized service centers are listed to perform CAPS overhauls, which are required every 10 years for all SR series aircraft. Additionally, 33 centers offer full service Vision Jet maintenance, while 28 more provide line service.
The hub also highlights 188 centers that offer aircraft pickup and delivery, making it easier for owners to manage their maintenance needs. Geographically, California leads with 18 authorized centers, followed by Florida and Texas, each with 11 centers. Notably, Alaska, Delaware, and Rhode Island do not have any authorized service centers.
Beyond the authorized network, the hub lists 119 independent Cirrus specialists, covering a wide range of services from interiors and propellers to avionics and parts. There are also 39 schools that train in Cirrus aircraft. While few companies publish their prices, some notable examples include Avias Aircraft Services, which lists CAPS replacement for G2, G3, and G5 aircraft at US$19,800 with a 48-hour turnaround, and Synergy Flight Center, which lists Cirrus maintenance labor at US$175 an hour.
The Cirrus Hub features a map of every company, with authorized centers and independent companies clearly labeled. Users can filter the data by various criteria, including CAPS overhaul, Vision Jet full or line service, Platinum, training, avionics, TKS ice protection, composite and paint, pickup and delivery, and parts. The hub also includes area pages for Florida, Texas, California, Georgia, the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, and Brazil. A Cirrus maintenance cost calculator, which uses only prices companies publish themselves, is also available.
The Flying Engineer, which has been online since 2012, lists more than 15,300 aviation companies and 450+ aviation events. Its pages are accessed up to 15,000 times a day, according to Bing Webmaster Tools and Google Search Console data.
