SARASOTA, Fla., Oct. 6, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- The Dubin Center, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting families dealing with dementia, has expanded its services to Sarasota and Manatee counties, bringing a legacy of support and education to a new community.

More than three decades ago, the journey began in Fort Myers with Zelda Dubin, an early advocate for what was then known as the Alzheimer's Resource Center of Southwest Florida. This organization, now named The Alvin A. Dubin Alzheimer's Resource Center of Southwest Florida, was established to provide education, resilience, and hope to families navigating the challenges of dementia-related illnesses. The expansion into Sarasota and Manatee counties marks a significant milestone in the organization's mission.

The expansion was made possible through the generosity of the Larry and Nicci Lieberman Philanthropic Fund. Larry Lieberman, along with his wife Nicci, and Ryan Lieberman, Zelda's great-nephew, are bringing the organization's services to their own backyard. As residents of Sarasota, they recognized the need for specific resources and felt a responsibility to ensure that their neighbors have access to the support they need.

The Dubin Center's services now extend to Sarasota and Manatee counties, offering a range of free support services to caregivers and individuals living with dementia. These include:

- Caregiver support groups and evidence-based education programs - Memory screenings and one-on-one consultations with licensed social workers - Social engagement opportunities for caregivers and their loved ones

Sarasota and Manatee families now have a place to turn for help, ensuring that they are not facing the challenges of dementia alone. The organization's commitment to providing education, information, hope, and compassion remains unwavering.

For the Lieberman family, this expansion isn't just about growth, it's about a family promise kept across three generations. The Dubin Center's mission is to achieve caregiver health, strength, and resilience by providing education, information, hope, and compassion. The organization provides free support services for individuals living with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia and the caregivers who support them.
