NEW YORK, Oct. 21, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- The CityKids Foundation has unveiled a limited-edition fine-art collection drawn from the monumental 1986 artwork, "CityKids Speak on Liberty," created by Keith Haring in collaboration with 1,000 New York City teenagers. This piece, a 90-by-30-foot rendering of the Statue of Liberty, is the largest single artwork Haring ever produced and one of the most ambitious collaborative works of his career.

At the Jacob Javits Center, over three days, young people from all five boroughs filled Haring’s composition with hundreds of drawings, handwritten statements, names, symbols, and reflections on the question: "What does freedom mean to you?"

Nearly four decades later, the CityKids Foundation is releasing selected moments from this artwork as museum-quality fine-art editions. The inaugural collection includes four compositions: The Liberty Torch, The Face of Liberty, We The People I, and We The People II. Each of these limited-edition pieces is numbered and limited to 100 copies. Additionally, the collection features collector sets, monumental one-third-scale canvas works, and an open edition presenting the complete artwork.

The release coincides with America’s 250th anniversary and aims to support the next 40 years of The CityKids Foundation. The Foundation, which has been empowering young people to develop their voices, creativity, and leadership through artistic expression and community for over four decades, sees this collection as a way to multiply the original work’s impact.

The collection is being produced in partnership with Iconic Moments, whose previous collaborations include Art Basel, the Jackson Pollock Studio, and the Norman Rockwell Estate. The complete artwork can be viewed at IconicMoments.co/keith-haring.

The CityKids Foundation’s vision for a School of Artivism, where young people use art, storytelling, and media as tools for leadership and meaningful change, is also being supported by this release. The Foundation believes that by engaging young people in the creative process, they can better understand and advocate for their rights and freedoms.

This collection not only honors the legacy of Keith Haring but also celebrates the contributions of the young people who participated in the original artwork. By making these pieces available as limited-edition fine-art editions, the CityKids Foundation aims to bring the message of freedom and the power of youth expression to a wider audience.

The release is part of a broader effort to commemorate America’s 250th anniversary and to inspire future generations to continue the pursuit of liberty and justice. The CityKids Foundation’s commitment to empowering young people through art and community is evident in this latest initiative, which seeks to engage and educate a new generation of leaders.
