COPENHAGEN, Denmark, Oct. 9, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- TETRAPHARM, a Danish biopharmaceutical company based in Copenhagen, has announced the appointment of Rolf Sass Sørensen as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective October 6, 2026. Sørensen will take over from Martin Rose, who founded the company alongside Jesper Breum in 2018. Rose and Breum will continue to be shareholders in the company, focusing on new biotech ventures.

Sørensen, who previously served as Vice President of Investor Relations & Communications at Bavarian Nordic, brings extensive experience in the life sciences sector. His background includes over 30 years in investor relations and corporate communications, making him well-equipped to lead TETRAPHARM through its next phase of development.

TETRAPHARM focuses on developing drug candidates targeting the central nervous system and the immune system, while also offering contract development and manufacturing (CDMO) services. The company's proprietary drug delivery technology, ZYNDIKATE®, enables the development and scale-up of robust formulations for challenging molecules, including poorly water-soluble ones. The R&D pipeline includes novel drug candidates progressing through preclinical development, alongside a broad range of CDMO services.

Martin Rose and Jesper Breum, the company's founders, are leaving their operational roles to pursue new biotech ventures. They remain shareholders in TETRAPHARM and will follow the company's development with great interest.

The leadership transition comes as TETRAPHARM advances its novel drug molecules and proprietary drug development delivery technologies alongside its contract development and manufacturing services for pharmaceutical partners. Working with the Board of Directors and the organization, Sørensen will lead the company's continued development.

TETRAPHARM's commitment to innovation and collaboration is evident in its diverse portfolio and strategic partnerships. The company's leadership transition marks a significant step in its evolution, as it continues to advance its novel drug molecules and proprietary drug development delivery technologies.
