Teknova Introduces Fill-Tek Dispensing System for Custom Reagent Orders

This new capability allows manufacturers to order custom reagent batches across multiple bag sizes and quantities as a single lot, removing the per-bag-size minimums that come with fixed manifold designs.
According to Stephen Gunstream, President and CEO of Teknova, the Fill-Tek Dispensing System is a significant advancement in the company's modular manufacturing platform.
The Fill-Tek system operates by connecting the customer's specific combination of single-use bags to a dispensing vessel. This allows for the formulation and dispensing from one batch vessel through one filter into the exact configurations that a customer may need, including a variety of bag sizes with different fill volumes or even a single bag. The system uses validated aseptic welds to ensure the integrity of the process.
Bella Neufeld, Teknova's Vice President of Operations, highlighted the benefits of the new system.
The Fill-Tek Dispensing System is available across Teknova's RUO, RUO+, and GMP manufacturing grades, with batch volumes that start from eight liters for custom research-grade orders and 25 liters for GMP-grade orders, scaling up to 2,000 liters. The capability is available in Teknova's ISO-classified cleanrooms and is backed by its ISO 13485:2016 certified quality management system. Teknova's industry-leading turnaround times remain unchanged.
