Teako Minerals Corp., a Vancouver-based mineral exploration company, has completed its 2026 field programs at two of its copper and zinc projects in central Norway. The company has finished work at the Tynset copper-zinc-silver (Cu-Zn-Ag) volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) project and the Venna copper-cobalt-zinc (Cu-Co-Zn) VMS project, both of which are 100% owned by Teako.
At the Tynset project, the company collected 115 rock chip samples and 106 hand-held SDS hammer drill samples. These samples are being prepared for analysis at ALS Laboratories in Sweden. The field program also included detailed geological and structural mapping, as well as systematic outcrop sampling for geochemical and spectral laboratory analysis. The primary targets were the Storbekken Priority 1 area, the Nonsvola, and the Vingelen sites.
The Venna project saw the collection of 180 rock chip samples, covering the Mostadmarka Ironworks Trend and the Storslåtten targets. In addition, 52 rock chip samples from the Sandsve Target area in 2025 have been reviewed and prioritized. The samples will undergo lithogeochemical analysis, including four-acid digestion with ICP-MS finish, and spectral analysis using Terraspec and Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy (FTIR).
Eric Roth, a Non-Executive Director of Teako and a Qualified Person under National Instrument 43-101, reviewed and approved the technical information presented in the press release. Roth holds a Ph.D. in Economic Geology from the University of Western Australia and has over 35 years of experience in international minerals exploration and mining project evaluation.
The data collected from both projects will be used to refine high-quality drill targets. An Induced Polarization (IP) survey over the Storbekken Priority 1 target is expected to commence in mid-October 2026. The combined datasets from the 2026 field programs and historical records will assist in prioritizing targets for a maiden diamond drill program, which is currently expected between late Q4 2026 and Q1 2027.
Teako's strategy is to advance its main projects toward discovery while building a portfolio of partner-funded projects. The company aims to create shareholder value through the exploration of minerals critical to future supply chains. The field programs at Tynset and Venna are part of Teako's ongoing efforts to de-risk drilling targets and identify promising areas for further exploration.
