TCL showcases advanced displays at Gamescom 2026 for "Tides of Annihilation
At the heart of the Gamescom 2026 exhibition, TCL showcased its cutting-edge display technology, redefining the gaming experience for attendees. Partnering with Eclipse Glow Games, the electronics giant unveiled its latest OLED+ and SQD-Mini LED televisions, designed to bring the visually stunning world of "Tides of Annihilation" to life.
TCL's stand, located in Hall 6, B-050, featured a dedicated gaming area where visitors could experience the game firsthand. The company highlighted its dynamic lighting, cinematic environments, and high-speed combat sequences on its 32X3A OLED+ monitor and 75-inch C8L SQD-Mini LED television. These displays are part of TCL's advanced television lineup, showcasing how they meet the highest standards of gaming performance.
Stefan Streit, TCL Europe's Marketing Director, emphasized the company's commitment to meeting the evolving needs of gamers. "Players today expect zero latency, flawless fluidity, and visually striking fidelity that fully immerses them in new worlds. Our collaboration with 'Tides of Annihilation' demonstrates how TCL's advanced TV and display technology enhances the gaming experience throughout Europe," he stated.
"Tides of Annihilation," developed by Eclipse Glow Games, is an Arthurian-inspired solo adventure game set in a modern London overrun by an otherworldly invasion. Players follow Gwendolyn, a survivor, as she navigates through fantastical landscapes on a perilous journey to save her sister and unravel the mystery of her newfound powers.
The game's immersive visuals require displays capable of handling high contrast and dynamic lighting conditions. Quick combat sequences and rapid camera movements benefit from high refresh rates and low response times, which TCL's OLED+ and SQD-Mini LED technologies deliver. The 32X3A OLED+ monitor, a standout with iF and Red Dot Design Awards, offers ultra-high refresh rates and minimal border design, enhancing the gaming experience.
TCL's C8L SQD-Mini LED television, with its 5,500 nits HDR brightness and 2,584 precise zones of gradation, brings the game's visual richness to a grand scale. The 144 Hz native refresh rate and VRR support ensure smooth, responsive gameplay, while Bang & Olufsen audio technology with Dolby Atmos provides an immersive sound experience.
