On September 1, 2026, the Compensation Committee of the company’s Board of Directors awarded restricted stock units (RSUs) and stock options to five new hires as part of their inducement package.

The RSUs, totaling 314,000 shares, will vest in four equal annual installments, starting one year from the vesting commencement date, provided the employees remain with the company through each vesting date. The stock options, allowing the purchase of 92,400 shares, have an exercise price of $5.70, matching the closing stock price on the grant date. These options will vest over a period of four years, with 25% vesting on the first anniversary of the grant date, followed by monthly installments over the next 36 months, contingent on the employees' continued service.

Taysha Gene Therapies, based in the biotechnology sector, is dedicated to developing AAV-based gene therapies for serious genetic diseases affecting the central nervous system. Its primary clinical program, TSHA-102, is currently in development for Rett syndrome, a rare neurodevelopmental disorder with no approved treatments addressing the genetic root of the disease. The company's management team brings extensive experience in gene therapy development and commercialization, aiming to provide transformative therapies for severe unmet medical needs.

Founded to accelerate the translation of gene therapies from laboratory research to clinical application, Taysha leverages its manufacturing process and clinically proven AAV9 capsid to rapidly develop and bring treatments to market. The company's commitment to advancing innovative gene therapies is reflected in its ongoing clinical trials and strategic partnerships aimed at improving patient outcomes and quality of life.

With a focus on addressing the significant medical needs of patients and their families, Taysha continues to push the boundaries of gene therapy development. The inducement grant underscores the company's dedication to attracting and retaining top talent to support its mission.
