Taste on Main Rebrands as TasTe Italian Steakhouse

BUDA, Texas, Sep 04, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Taste on Main, a long-standing restaurant in Buda, Texas, is transforming into TasTe Italian Steakhouse, a culinary evolution that blends classic Italian flavors with Texas beef. The restaurant, known for its celebrated steaks, East Coast oyster bar, and craft cocktail program, is set to officially launch its new concept on September 24.

The transformation began when the culinary team at Taste on Main was tasked with creating a standout dish for Monday nights. The result was a Lasagna that quickly gained popularity, marking the start of a new direction. Chef-driven from the outset, Taste on Main has always featured handmade pasta in its kitchen. As the team evolved, the menu began to reflect more distinctly Italian influences, incorporating new language, rich sauces, and Italian classics, all served with ample focaccia and Chianti.

Tamra Tindol, President of Taste on Main, emphasized that this is an evolution, not a reopening. "The name and menu may be changing, but the heart of TasTe Italian Steakhouse remains the same," she stated. The restaurant will continue to operate seven days a week throughout the transition, offering 14 weekly meal services across lunch, dinner, and brunch.

Daily happy hour will continue from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., along with all-day drink specials, including half-price bottles of wine every Monday. TasTe Italian Steakhouse will retain its spirits program, sourcing rare and hard-to-find bourbons, while expanding its wine list to showcase more Italian varietals.

TasTe Italian Steakhouse is described as a chef-driven restaurant that combines the traditions of an Italian steakhouse with exceptional steaks, handmade pastas, an East Coast oyster bar, thoughtfully crafted cocktails, an extensive wine list, and a spirits program. The restaurant will remain open seven days a week, offering lunch, dinner, and brunch services.
