Tarkett Launches In the Making Carpet Collection with Sustainable Design Elements

Tarkett, a global leader in flooring and sports surface solutions, has launched the In the Making carpet collection, designed to inspire creativity while adhering to sustainable practices. The collection, introduced by Omoleye Simmons, vice president of design for Tarkett North America, aims to bring subtle yet impactful design elements to interior spaces.

In the Making features three distinct patterns—Traced, Preparation, and Gestural—each offering a unique aesthetic to inspire and enhance work environments. The Traced style, with its layered, cross-directional linear pattern, creates a textured grid that subtly moves across the floor. Inspired by the creative process, this style adds a sense of rhythm to spaces. Preparation, with its deconstructed linear pattern, offers a fluid, dynamic texture that mimics a hand-painted effect, bringing a narrative of creativity to any interior. The Gestural style translates freeform mark-making into a modular pattern, featuring scattered rectangles and rhombus-like shapes that create a less structured composition, reflecting the spontaneity of creative expression.

These patterns are available in three formats: ethos® carpet tile, Flex-Aire™ cushion carpet tile, and Powerbond® hybrid carpet. Each option caters to different needs and environments. For demanding spaces, Powerbond® hybrid carpet stands out with its unmatched durability, moisture management, and ease of maintenance. All In the Making styles are made with Dynex SD®, a premium cationic nylon, and treated with Eco-Ensure™, a chemistry that resists soiling from oils and organic materials.
