Tampa, Fla., Oct. 14, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Tampa Bay business leaders have been invited to spend a day in the classroom on November 6, 2026, as part of the eighth annual CEOs in Schools® program. This unique initiative pairs executives with Hillsborough County public elementary school principals, offering an inside look at the challenges and successes of running a school in the nation's seventh-largest district.
Registration for the event is now open through October 31 at CEOsInSchools.com, with a variety of elementary schools throughout Hillsborough County still available. The program, founded by Brian Butler, President and CEO of Vistra Communications, LLC, has hosted more than 1,000 CEO school visits since its inception in 2019.
Participants will spend a full day observing, learning, and engaging with the entire school community. They leave with a clearer understanding of the successes and challenges public schools face, often identifying meaningful ways to partner, serve, or advocate for the schools.
The program is designed to provide business leaders with a unique opportunity to see their future workforce up close. Today's elementary students are Tampa Bay's talent pipeline, and the insights gained can help companies better understand the needs of their future employees.
Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS), the seventh-largest school district in the United States, serves 200,000 students across 233 schools and educational programs. Through strong community partnerships, innovative learning experiences, and a focus on student achievement, safety, and well-being, HCPS works to ensure all students have access to the resources and support they need to reach their full potential.
Vistra Communications, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business headquartered in Lutz, Florida, is a key partner in the program. Founded in 2007, Vistra provides a broad range of customized solutions to corporate, government, and nonprofit organizations.
Placements are first-come, first-served, and schools are filling quickly. Executives can register and choose a school at CEOsInSchools.com. The program is presented by Vistra, HEF, and HCPS, and it offers a valuable experience for business leaders to make a meaningful impact on the education and future workforce of Tampa Bay.
