NEW YORK, Oct. 7, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Synera Funds has launched the Synera Funds Takumi+ ETF (Ticker: SMTJ) on the NYSE Arca, providing investors with a unique, actively-managed Japanese equities-focused strategy in ETF format. The fund aims to capitalize on Japan's structural shifts toward higher nominal growth, improved capital efficiency, and more disciplined corporate governance.
The Synera Funds Takumi+ ETF seeks capital appreciation through a foundational approach that combines investment theme screening with fundamentally-driven bottom-up Japanese equity selection. Additionally, the fund incorporates a systematic futures overlay to generate complementary, uncorrelated returns and mitigate downside risk without requiring additional capital allocation.
According to Yusuke Karube, President and CEO of Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Asset Management Americas, Inc., the partnership represents an important opportunity to bring SuMi TRUST's Japanese equity expertise to a broader base of U.S. investors. The fund leverages the complementary expertise of three investment and product specialists: Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Asset Management Americas, Inc. serves as the Model Sub-Adviser for the Japanese Equity strategy, Millburn Ridgefield LLC acts as the Investment Adviser, and Twin Oak ETF Company serves as the ETF's organizer and operations partner.
