Swig, the company behind the Original Dirty Soda, has launched its seventh annual Save The Cups campaign to support women battling breast cancer. Since its inception in 2020, the campaign has raised nearly $2 million to help 169 women navigate the financial challenges of their treatment.

This year, Swig aims to surpass its previous fundraising goal by raising at least $650,000. The campaign not only seeks to ease the financial burden for women undergoing breast cancer treatment but also promotes early detection through awareness and education.

Kendra Levering, a Missouri resident, is one of the beneficiaries of the Save The Cups campaign. Diagnosed with breast cancer, Kendra had to navigate chemotherapy, fertility preservation, and the uncertainty that came with her treatment. Regular visits to Swig became a small routine that helped her maintain a sense of normalcy. In 2025, Kendra was selected as a Save The Cups recipient, providing her with the financial support she needed during one of the most challenging periods of her life.

Carrie McKee, a Utah resident, had a different experience with the campaign. She visited Swig's Oquirrh Mountain location and made a donation to Save The Cups. This simple act prompted her to schedule a mammogram, which ultimately led to her breast cancer diagnosis. Carrie's story underscores the importance of early detection and highlights the role Save The Cups plays in encouraging women to prioritize their health.

Joy Skarka, a 32-year-old Florida resident, discovered a lump in March 2025 while at the hospital with her husband, who was battling brain cancer. Months later, Joy underwent a double mastectomy, just 10 days before her husband passed away. Suddenly, Joy was navigating her own breast cancer treatment while grieving the loss of her husband and caring for their two young children. The Save The Cups team surprised Joy with the news that she had been selected to receive support, providing her with the financial assistance she needed during this difficult time.

The campaign was created by Swig Founder Nicole Robison, who was inspired by her own experience with breast cancer. Diagnosed at 37, Robison completed her treatment but faced significant medical debt. She later learned that an anonymous donor had paid her bills, an act of generosity that Robison has never forgotten. This experience led her to create Save The Cups, aiming to help other women carry the financial burden during their treatment.

Now through October 10, proceeds from Swig's fall menu and merchandise will support Save The Cups. Customers can also contribute by rounding up their purchase at participating Swig locations. The campaign is also accepting nominations for women currently fighting breast cancer. Swig Founder Nicole Robison emphasized the importance of the campaign, stating, "Save The Cups is about doing that for other women. We may not be able to change their diagnosis, but we can remind them that they don't have to face every part of it alone."
