LONDON, Sept. 30, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- SUNCUN, a Chinese haute couture and new-Chinese-style fashion brand, completed its decade-long journey through the world's top fashion weeks with a stunning presentation in London. The SS2027 collection, titled "Wen Feng Ji Meng" ("WIND & DREAM"), marked the brand’s 10th anniversary and closed its four-city fashion-week loop, having previously showcased its designs in New York, Paris, and Milan.
The runway presentation in London featured 59 looks, each with flowing silhouettes, layered construction, and negative space, translating the collection’s wind-and-dream concept. This presentation drew significant attention from international buyers and media, underscoring the brand’s growing global presence.
The journey began in February 2019 when IMG invited SUNCUN to New York Fashion Week for its collection "Wuwei Fusheng." At the tender age of 24, Zhang Turan, the founder of SUNCUN, was widely reported as the youngest haute couture designer to present at the event. His work was described as "a mysterious power from the East," highlighting the brand’s unique and innovative approach to fashion.
Following the New York debut, SUNCUN extended its route to Paris with the collection "Shanhai" at the Petit Palais. The brand then made its first London release with AW2024 "Kaitian," reported by China Radio International (CRI). Seven months later, SUNCUN presented its SS2025 "Bridge" collection at Milan Fashion Week, which was covered by Xinhua and reviewed by Italy’s national fashion chamber.
The London collection, "Wen Feng Ji Meng," carries this development into design. Built around the phrase "Use wind as traces, dream as messages," it treats wind as worldly movement and dream as floating life. Rather than reproducing literal landscapes or stacking cultural symbols, Zhang uses flowing silhouettes, layered construction, and virtual-real contrasts and negative space to translate Eastern philosophy into a contemporary wardrobe.
The return to London completes the four-city route and demonstrates how SUNCUN is moving intangible-heritage craft beyond one-off couture into a fashion language that spans couture and ready-to-wear.
Founded in 2015 in Shenyang, SUNCUN is a brand that works with Chinese artisans and develops intangible-heritage embroidery, traditional fabrics, single-client tailoring, and ready-to-wear through La Brocart / Chengyi Bureau and TURANZZ. The brand’s journey through the world’s top fashion weeks has solidified its position as a leader in contemporary Eastern fashion, bringing a new lifestyle to London and beyond.
