Stefan Weber to Present at H.C. Wainwright Conference on Newron Pharmaceuticals

On September 16, 2026, Stefan Weber, Chief Executive Officer of Newron Pharmaceuticals S.p.A., will present at the H.C. Wainwright 28th Annual Global Investment Conference in New York City. The company, headquartered in Bresso near Milan, Italy, is a biopharmaceutical firm focused on developing innovative therapies for patients with central and peripheral nervous system diseases.

The conference, held from September 14 to 16, 2026, will feature a company presentation and one-on-one meetings. Weber, who will deliver the presentation at 11:00 AM Eastern Time on Wednesday, September 16, is expected to discuss Newron’s ongoing research and development efforts.

Newron’s lead compound, evenamide, is a first-in-class glutamate modulator. This drug is currently in the global pivotal ENIGMA-TRS Phase III development program, with the potential to be the first add-on therapy for treatment-resistant schizophrenia (TRS) and poorly responding schizophrenia patients. Clinical trials have shown significant improvements in efficacy measures, along with a favorable safety profile that sets it apart from existing antipsychotic medications.

The company has secured development and commercialization agreements for evenamide with EA Pharma (a subsidiary of Eisai) for Japan and other Asian territories, and Myung In Pharm for South Korea. Additionally, Newron’s first marketed product, Xadago®/safinamide, has received marketing authorization for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease in several countries, including the European Union, the United States, and Japan.

Xadago®/safinamide is commercialized by Newron’s partner Zambon, with Supernus Pharmaceuticals holding marketing rights in the U.S. and Meiji Seika responsible for development and commercialization in Japan and other key Asian territories.
