Startup Regulatory Compliance Workshop Held at SIOM Nashik

At the Symbiosis Institute of Operations Management (SIOM) in Nashik, a workshop on startup regulatory compliance was held on September 14, 2026. Shreekant Patil, founder of PARENTNashik. The session aimed to provide MBA students with a practical understanding of the regulatory landscape for startups, covering key aspects of MSME frameworks, ethical business practices, and responsible scaling.

More than 50 students attended the two-hour workshop, which was organized by the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) at SIOM. CEng. Shreekant Patil, recognized as a Startup India Mentor, walked participants through the startup ecosystem and its stakeholders. He explained the various avenues for seed funding available through Startup India and state government schemes, and demonstrated how to navigate the Startup India portal.

The workshop concluded with an engaging Q&A session, during which Patil encouraged students to take the leap into entrepreneurship. He assured them of his continued support, promising to guide and assist them in all respects as they build their entrepreneurial journeys.

CEng. Shreekant Patil has been a driving force behind startup and entrepreneurship development in Nashik and Maharashtra. He founded and chairs the NIMA Startup Hub under the Nashik Industries & Manufacturers' Association, which has helped create over 120 entrepreneurs and startups by connecting them to seed funding, PMEGP, and other government schemes. He also chairs the Startup, Entrepreneurship & Cluster Development Committee at the Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture (MACCIA), and founded the Igniting Innovation Initiative in 2024 in partnership with the Maharashtra State Government.
