Stark Health Launches Stark Naked Challenge for Whole-Person Health Optimization

TUSTIN, Calif., September 2026, Most competitions measure one thing: speed, strength, or weight loss. Stark Health, a Tustin-based health optimization company, has introduced the Stark Naked Challenge, a unique competition that measures ten aspects of health instead. The company believes this to be the world's first competition entirely focused on whole-person health optimization.

The Stark Naked Challenge evaluates competitors across ten dimensions of what Stark Health calls the Wheel of Health: Mental Well-Being, Body Composition, Orthopedic Health, Cardiovascular Health, Nutrients, Strength, Gut Health, Hormones, Detoxification, and Sleep, Recovery & Stress. Each competitor undergoes assessments at the start and end of the competition, using DEXA body composition scanning, bone mineral density assessment, fitness testing, and structured self-assessments. The improvement in these ten areas determines a competitor's standing.

However, there's a twist: 30% of a competitor's final score is determined by the amount of money they raise for charity during the competition.

This year's Stark Naked Challenge ran for an extended eight-month period, from January through August. The company chose this format for a specific reason. People in the northern hemisphere are statistically more physically active during summer months, and natural light increases, leading to more outdoor movement and higher motivation. By ending the competition at the close of summer, Stark ensured that competitors' optional professional photographs would capture their physical transformations at their peak seasonal expression.

The extended format also serves as a test of resilience. The Stark Naked Challenge was engineered to pass through these disruption points, ensuring that competitors had to learn how to maintain their health even when conditions were not perfect.
