Stark Future Unveils VARG SM Sköll Limited Edition

Stark Future, a Barcelona-based premium electric motorcycle manufacturer, has unveiled the VARG SM Sköll, a numbered limited edition of 500 units. This new model is based on the VARG SM and features a range of enhancements aimed at making it the lightest and most advanced motorcycle in the VARG lineup.
The Sköll is powered by the full ALPHA specification, delivering 80 horsepower with tunable Dynamic Traction Control. It also includes 3D-printed titanium footpegs and a complete titanium bolt kit, which together save 1.1 kilograms. The motorcycle's total weight is claimed to be 123.4 kilograms, making it the lightest VARG SM built to date. The weight reduction is achieved through the use of titanium in key components, including the footpegs and bolt kit, while the rest of the motorcycle retains its original chassis architecture.
The Sköll's design is heavily influenced by Norse mythology, with the name "Sköll" representing the wolf that hunts the sun. The motorcycle's sleek, all-black appearance is a nod to this mythological inspiration. Every viable component, from the triple clamps to the motor housing, undergoes a stealth finish through anodizing, powder-coating, and deep-black treatments. The only exception is the 520 RK MXU ultra-wide-ring chain, which retains its gold finish against a 7075 T6 rear sprocket.
The motorcycle's chassis and geometry remain largely unchanged from the standard VARG SM, with a high-strength steel frame and carbon-fibre front subframe. The rake is set at 26.1 degrees, and the wheelbase is 147.1 centimeters. The KYB suspension system includes a 48-millimeter closed-cartridge coil-spring fork with 290 millimeters of travel and a triple-adjustable rear shock with 303 millimeters of travel. The spring rates are selected based on the rider's weight at the time of order.
The braking system consists of a 320-millimeter front disc with a four-piston caliper and a 220-millimeter rear disc with a single-piston caliper. A handlebar-mounted rear brake is available as an option. The Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tires provide excellent grip, with sizes of 120/70-17 and 140/70-17. For the Australian market, Anlas Grip Plus tires are supplied.
Powering the VARG SM Sköll is an 80-horsepower motor with 914 Newton-meters of torque. The single-speed drive system and dynamic traction control are fully tunable, allowing riders to adjust power curves and regenerative braking. The 7.2-kilowatt-hour battery operates at 420 volts and functions as a structural member, providing a range of 183 kilometers in urban areas, 118 kilometers in suburban areas, and 81 kilometers under the World Motorcycle Testing Cycle (WMTC).
Charging the battery is straightforward, with a 3.3-kilowatt portable unit that takes two hours to charge from a 240-volt outlet and three and a half hours from a 120-volt household outlet. The Arkenstone display offers turn-by-turn navigation, offline maps, GPX recording and playback, lap and session timing, and over-the-air updates. Additional features include Crawl Mode for reversing and layered digital security.
The VARG SM Sköll is road-legal and A1-licence compatible in Europe, making it eligible for use in selected Southern European markets. The limited edition will be delivered starting in October 2026, with a total of 500 units available worldwide.
