GREENWICH, Conn., Sept. 15, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Stardust Power Inc, an American developer of battery-grade lithium carbonate, has secured long-term electrical infrastructure for its proposed lithium refinery in Muskogee, Oklahoma. The agreement with Oklahoma Gas and Electric Company (OG&E) ensures the development of critical electrical infrastructure necessary for large-scale industrial power delivery to the refinery.

The refinery, located in the Southside Industrial Park in Muskogee, is expected to produce up to 50,000 metric tons per annum of battery-grade lithium carbonate once at full capacity. The project is being developed in two phases, each with a capacity of 25,000 metric tons per annum. This strategic location in the heart of the U.S. energy and manufacturing corridor positions Stardust Power to address the critical shortage of U.S. lithium refining capacity.

Chris Celano, Chief Operating Officer of Stardust Power, emphasized the importance of securing the electrical infrastructure.

The agreement with OG&E is a significant milestone in the development of the refinery. Electrical infrastructure, often one of the longest-lead and most critical components of large industrial projects, is essential for the smooth operation of the facility. By securing this infrastructure, Stardust Power is taking a crucial step towards ensuring the refinery can meet its production targets.

Stardust Power's focus on building a resilient American battery supply chain underscores its commitment to supporting the growing demand for battery-grade lithium carbonate. The company aims to play a pivotal role in the U.S. lithium industry, contributing to the country's energy transition and reducing reliance on imported materials.

The project is part of a broader effort to strengthen the U.S. battery supply chain, which is crucial for the development of electric vehicles and renewable energy storage systems. By establishing a domestic refining capacity, Stardust Power is positioning itself to meet the increasing demand for battery-grade lithium carbonate, a key component in the production of lithium-ion batteries.

As the project moves forward, Stardust Power remains committed to its vision of developing a sustainable and reliable lithium supply chain in the United States. The company's progress in securing the necessary infrastructure is a testament to its dedication and strategic planning.
