In its tenth year, SSON Research & Analytics has unveiled the 2026 Top 20 Most Admired Benchmark Leaders, recognizing the highest-performing shared services and global business services (SSO/GBS) organizations. This prestigious award honors 20 leading SSOs and GBS firms for their exceptional performance across critical metrics and benchmarks.
Among the top performers this year are ArcelorMittal Business Center of Excellence, BAT GBS, and Bosch Global Business Services. These organizations, along with the likes of Cardinal Health Global Business Services and Cencosud Shared Service Center, have demonstrated strong operational results, delivering cost and efficiency improvements while maintaining high standards of quality and productivity.
Naomi Secor, Global Managing Director of SSON Research & Analytics, commented, "The Top 20 Most Admired SSO/GBS study is fundamentally about benchmarked performance. The organizations recognized this year have shown consistent excellence across key metrics, setting a clear benchmark for the industry."
This year's study significantly expanded its benchmarking coverage, introducing 56 new metrics across Automation, Master Data Management, Procurement, and Supply Chain. The expanded metrics provide a more comprehensive view of SSO/GBS performance, including categories such as Attrition, Customer Satisfaction, Finance & Accounting, and Talent Management.
Notably, Tesco Business Solutions continues its streak of excellence, earning a place on the list for the eighth consecutive year. Other consistently high-performing organizations include Siemens Global Business Services, recognized for six consecutive years; TNB Global Business Solutions, for five consecutive years; and SLB Global Business Services, for four consecutive years.
The selection process involved rigorous analysis of core operational and performance metrics covering cost, quality, time, and efficiency. Participating organizations were also assessed based on their service delivery models and digital ecosystems. The winners are determined based on the outcome of this comprehensive study, reflecting proven success in key performance indicators.
The 2026 Benchmarking Report provides detailed insights across 14 categories, including Attrition, Automation, Customer Satisfaction, Finance & Accounting, HR, and more. The report offers aggregated insights on top quartile, median, and bottom quartile data for 110 performance metrics, all of which are anonymized and aggregated to protect participant confidentiality.
SSON Research & Analytics will host a webinar on November 5th to showcase the Top 20 performance metrics. For those interested, registration is available on their website. The full report is available for purchase and included in an SSON Research & Analytics subscription.
The study, which aims to provide valuable insights and benchmarks for the industry, underscores the ongoing commitment of SSO and GBS organizations to excellence and innovation.
