ORLANDO, Fla., Oct. 29, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Springbrook Software, a cloud ERP and payments platform built for local governments, unveiled its Innovation Roadmap at Activate 2026, themed "Innovation Beyond Imagination." The event, held in Orlando, Florida, showcased new and planned capabilities, including several artificial intelligence (AI) features designed to enhance the efficiency and ease of use for local government agencies.
According to Springbrook, the roadmap aims to address the top challenges facing local governments, such as outdated technology, by providing modern, user-friendly, and reliable solutions. The company's CEO, Chris Dinkler, emphasized the importance of building technology that is purpose-built for the unique needs of local governments.
Springbrook's Innovation Roadmap includes AI Invoicing, AI Permitting, AI-assisted Reporting, Conversational ERP, and a Citizen Portal for residents. The AI Invoicing feature reads incoming invoices, captures the details, and matches each one to its purchase order, reducing the time accounts payable staff spend on data entry. AI Permitting provides applicants with advice on their application, checks for completeness, and performs a first review of the application content.
The roadmap also introduces a new Reporting and Insights Module, which allows staff to ask AI to build, find, or change a report, adjust reports by hand, and create their own dashboards. Additionally, the Conversational ERP feature enables users to type what they need and go straight to the right record or report, streamlining workflows.
Springbrook laid the cloud foundation for customers in 2021, delivering Cirrus as a multi-tenant SaaS platform with a real-time data layer. This platform allows AI to reason across finance, payments, payroll, community development, and asset management simultaneously. Customers on Cirrus can adopt each new AI feature on the platform they already run, with no disruptive upgrades or migrations.
Other features in the roadmap include a Citizen Portal, which allows residents to pay water bills, renew licenses, and report potholes in one place, with one sign-in. The HCM Suite covers the entire employee journey, from HR core and employee self-service to applicant tracking, onboarding, learning, and performance. The newest module, Open Enrollment, feeds employee deductions straight into Cirrus Payroll with nothing to retype.
Springbrook's 2026 Citizen Trust and Digital Expectations Survey of over 1,000 U.S. residents found that people see outdated government technology as a risk to public trust. The survey results underscore the importance of modernizing government technology to protect public trust. Springbrook's innovation roadmap prioritizes ease of use, reliability, and support, with AI-ready capabilities that are purpose-built for government and shaped by direct client feedback.
