CUPERTINO, Calif., Oct. 15, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Splashtop Inc., the global provider of remote work, support, and management solutions, launched its first branded event series, Splashtop Live, to address the challenges faced by IT professionals and managed service providers (MSPs) in the wake of accelerating cyber threats. The event, held in the Bay Area on September 16 and in London on October 6, brought together IT professionals, MSPs, customers, and partners to discuss the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on cybersecurity and the responsibilities of IT teams in responding to these threats.

Mark Lee, CEO and co-founder of Splashtop, opened the event by highlighting the increasing pressure AI is placing on IT teams. Lee noted that Microsoft's October Patch Tuesday alone addressed a record 1,400+ vulnerabilities.

The event focused on providing IT teams with the tools and solutions needed to address these challenges. Phil Sheu, CTO and co-founder of Splashtop, described how the company's agent for remote support now delivers inventory and real-time vulnerability and patch management.

One of the key products introduced at the event was Shield for Business, which blocks more than 80 unauthorized remote access tools while allowing Splashtop's legitimate remote support. Additionally, Splashtop previewed upcoming third-party application management for Microsoft Intune environments, an area that now draws close scrutiny from auditors, cyber insurers, and client security reviews.

Brandon Shopp, VP of Product and Alliances, emphasized that AI has not delivered the cure-all some expected.

The event also featured a customer panel in the Bay Area and a roundtable discussion in London, where IT leaders and MSPs shared their experiences and strategies for adapting to rising security and compliance expectations.

Splashtop Live provided attendees with direct access to the company's co-founders and product leaders, as well as technology partners SentinelOne, SysAid, and Halo. Attendees left with insights and approaches drawn from peers managing similar pressures, and Splashtop gained direct input for its roadmap, which has been guided by customer feedback since the company first moved into IT management.
