Spirox Launches SP7000G High-Speed TGV Crack Inspection System

HSINCHU, Sept. 8, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Spirox, a leading provider of inspection solutions, has unveiled the SP7000G High-Speed TGV Crack Inspection System at its Advanced Packaging Technology Forum. The event, which brought together industry experts from Corning and DNP, focused on the latest advancements in Glass Core and TGV technologies, critical for next-generation advanced packaging applications.
Spirox’s new SP7000G system is designed to enhance inspection efficiency and quality control in high-volume Glass Core and TGV manufacturing processes. According to Paul Yang, Spirox Corporation’s spokesperson, the SP7000G is essential for the high-volume manufacturing of TGV, where inspection efficiency and quality control are paramount. "TGV is moving towards high-volume manufacturing, making inspection efficiency and quality control critical to production," Yang explained.
The SP7000G can complete a full-panel scan of a 510 mm × 515 mm glass substrate in less than 20 minutes, significantly reducing inspection time and improving overall process quality. This technology utilizes Spirox’s proprietary laser tomography scanning, a non-destructive inspection method that allows for the detection of internal microcracks within glass structures. This feature is particularly valuable for advanced packaging processes like TGV, where defect detection can enhance the reliability of the final product.
Odessa Petzold, a representative from Corning, praised Spirox’s innovative approach, stating, "Spirox's laser tomography scanning technology represents an innovative approach to non-destructive inspection of glass materials. Its unique optical inspection capabilities can detect defects within glass structures without damaging the material, making it a valuable tool for advanced packaging processes such as TGV, and helping improve processes and accelerate the transition to high-volume manufacturing."
Satoru Kuramochi from DNP highlighted the importance of reliable inspection technologies in the context of the growing demand for high-performance packaging. "As AI servers continue to drive demand for high-performance, high-density packaging, reliability and failure analysis will become increasingly important as Glass Core technologies move toward high-volume manufacturing," Kuramochi noted. "Non-destructive inspection technologies for TGV and glass substrates are expected to play an important role in identifying defects and understanding issues that may occur at different stages of the manufacturing process."
The SP7000G complements Spirox’s existing SP8000G system, offering a comprehensive solution for high-speed, precise, and non-destructive TGV inspection and analysis across research and development, quality control, and high-volume manufacturing.
